Ensuring the safety of funds.

Hacks, Rugs and Rock n Roll

Due to the exponential rise in exploits, wallet drains and the various "market is red, time to make up an excuse to rug my project". EdgyEggs have implemented multiple methods to ensure trust and security for the future of the project.

Edgy Eggs Anti Hack Plan.

  1. Step 1 - Do not click links from grandma on Facebook

  2. Step 2 - Send funds to trusty Uncle Albert to invest in Index Funds

  3. Step 3 - Convert digital assets to Gold Bullions.

Alternative Edgy Eggs anti-hack plan.

Total treasury funds from the project will be distributed to different wallets, we will not keep the entire funding from NFT buys in a single wallet and will be moving funds as quickly as possible, as to not be over-exposed in a single point of failure.

Over time the total investment portfolio of the project will be distributed across multiple sources and risk managed accordingly. If one investment were to fail, all our eggs would not be in one basket. Even if one wallet was hacked out of the blue with no warning, we could recover and continue with the other funds and redistribute as necessary.

Any compromised wallet can be permanently detached and never touched or interacted with again, blacklisting this wallet from contracts as necessary.

In a scenario where a team member becomes possed by the evil egg lord and decides to attempt to steal from the project, the multi-sig contracts would prevent this. All passwords and logins to sensitive documents can be instantly changed and locked.

As much as possible, we will keep funds constantly moving, whether that is in and out of investments, into different wallets, or into cold storage. The more diverse the portfolio and the more fluid it remains, the less likely there is a single point of failure where funds can be lost or taken.

For security reasons, it is likely that we won't publish every single movement of funds. As transparent as we will be in the allocation of budget or investment decisions and community voting; posting live updates on transfers poses an additional security risk for pattern tracking.

For example, announcing beforehand that we are about to move $100,000 from ***** address to **** address gives potential exploiters or hackers a clear timeline and window of when and how to attempt to intercept a transfer.

However, as everything is printed on the blockchain database any holder can easily check for themselves where funds are and how they are being used in line with the Discord updates and community voting.

Our goal over time is for the community to trust both our judgement and intentions to allow us to work without fear of mistreatment. We are aware of the current market landscape and have experienced first-hand the relentless levels of lies, manipulation and cowardice. But we aim to subvert this mentality and earn the trust of the community.
